5 PLAYERS WHO HAVE PLAYED FOR MORE THAN ONE COUNTRY
World Cup players represents their countries for both pride and honor. However, do you know that there are players at the World Cup who played for more than one country? Well, here are five players who played for different countries:
Victor Moses
Moses was once considered a wonder kid in England’s under 21 football competitions. He later on declared for his birth nation, Nigeria. Currently he represented his team in the Russia 2018 World Cup, but unfortunately got eliminated by Argentina.
Wilfred Zaha
While still playing in the Championship league, Zaha was an England player. His pace on the wing was a real deal for England. However, he switched allegiances to his birth country Ivory Coast. He represented Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations.
Thiago Motta
Motta could play for both Brazil and Italy because of heritage. He started his international career with Brazil, where he was born. He later on switched to Italy after winning two cups.
Diego Costa
Costa was born in Brazil. He started his football career with Brazil. He later on deflected to Spain just before Brazil hosted the World Cup. With his new team, they flopped at the 2014 World Cup tournament.
Luis Monti
He is the only player to have played at the World Cup finals with two different teams. He started his international career with Argentina before moving to Italy.
